Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas

No, this isn't my tree. This is the tree at the Eaton Centre. It's enormous and covered in crystals.

Aaron and Hart made a snowman during the first snowfall of the season. Notice the apple eyes.

Thea and I checked out the Christmas windows at The Bay. Lovely.

Thea, looking very sophisticated, at The Nutcracker.

My little over-crowded tree.
All the decorations are not even on.

Thea has a collection of ornaments gathered from all of our outings to see The Nutcracker ballet over the years. She has 6 hanging on the tree. They are all girls. Aaron has a Nutcracker ornament and I have an egg.
You can see three of Thea's decorations in this photo. I also have all the 12 Days of Christmas Eaton's ornaments.
This year, the red bird is sitting at the the top of the tree.

Great snowman, Aaron! Luv those apple eyes... lumps of coal ARE difficult to come by these days. Thea, you are indeed looking very sophisticated at the ballet. That tree is looking very crowded with decorations (your's that is, not the Eaton Centre one, well maybe it is too). Perhaps you should get a bigger tree next year. It's much better than I've done. This year I haven't even pulled out my ceramic santa and the wooden pine tress dad made. I wanted to do a retro sixties kind of Christmas look so maybe I'll put that on the agenda for next year.

That apple-eyed snowman is fantastic, I think he looks a little bit puzzled and a little spooky (which I love, of course). Thea looks gorgeous in her suit, and all the ballerinas are lovely, though they're going to need that tree all to themselves if you keep seeing The Nutcracker. Hmmm... maybe two trees?

Happy New Year!!!

The best thing about 2009 was the arrival of Thea and Aaron's new cousin, Kalil. We got a new tree for Christtmas. Thea got a beautiful feather headband from Auntie Anne. I knit a bunch of hats this year - here's the one I made for Aaron. I also knit Aaron the Incognito tube.

Thea's Western Wall

Thea's Western Wall Originally uploaded by jrobertson@rogers.com Thea created this wonderful version of the Western Wall out of Sculpey for a recent Sunday School Project. It is not to scale but she wanted to represent the size of a person vs the size of the bricks used at the base of the wall.
